Role Overview

The Senior Linux Systems Administrator will oversee large-scale Linux server environments across production and development landscapes. This role is integral to maintaining uptime, enhancing system performance, and ensuring security compliance. By collaborating closely with DevOps, Network, and Software teams, the administrator will streamline infrastructure processes and implement automation to support mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

The position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including:

Server Management & Maintenance: Monitor and maintain Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux servers, perform system upgrades, kernel updates, and patch management.
Security & Access Management: Implement user access controls, security policies, server hardening, and backup/recovery strategies.
Automation & Configuration Management: Utilize tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform to manage deployment pipelines efficiently.
Performance Monitoring: Track system health and resource utilization to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
Cloud & Virtualization Collaboration: Work with DevOps teams to provision environments in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or on-premises.
Incident Response & Disaster Recovery: Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and rapid incident response.

Required Skills & Experience
