Job Role: Desktop Support Engineer

A Desktop Support Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring seamless business operations by providing on-site and remote technical support. In this role, you will support employees by resolving IT-related issues and maintaining system performance.

This is a highly interactive and problem-solving-driven role perfect for tech-driven individuals who enjoy troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Key Responsibilities

As a Desktop Support Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Hardware Installation & Maintenance

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Diagnosing and repairing hardware issues
  • Managing system upgrades and replacements when required

Software Troubleshooting & Support

  • Installing and updating OS, applications, and software tools
  • Troubleshooting software-related problems and ensuring system functionality

Network & Connectivity Troubleshooting

  • Assisting users with Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, and network connectivity issues
  • Configuring network devices and settings

End-User IT Support

  • Responding to support tickets, emails, and service requests
  • Guiding users on system usage, email setup, MS Office, and essential IT tools
  • Providing remote support when needed

System Performance & Security

Documentation & Reporting
